CerakoteTM has a unique ceramic
structure that out-performs any competitive coating and improves
performance in both laboratory and real world settings.
CerakoteTM coatings are formulated for specific applications and technical requirements. Current CerakoteTM
product lines include coatings specifically for firearms, exhaust
systems, pistons and high wear applications. In addition, CerakoteTM is available in a line of ceramic clear coats.
Firearm Coatings
With a unique ceramic backbone, CerakoteTM
Firearm Coatings improve performance and reliability over conventional
finishes. This state-of-the-art coating technology out-performs any
competitive coating in both laboratory settings and real world
applications.
The unique formulation used for CerakoteTM
Firearm Coatings enhances a number of physical performance properties.
Each of these properties is rigorously tested to guarantee that CerakoteTM products remain at the forefront of the firearm coatings market. To prove CerakoteTM
is the leading firearm coating, NIC hired an independent military
testing facility to perform a blind side by side comparison between
CerakoteTM, KG Gun-Kote (listed as competitor 1) and DuraCoat Firearm Finish (listed as competitor 2). In every test CerakoteTM out performed both competitors products. All tests were performed in accordance to the ASTM test listed in the photo.

Clear Coatings
CerakoteTM Micro Clear Coatings
represent years of developmental work that produced a superior clear
coating for protection on a variety of surfaces in all types of
conditions. Micro Clear Coatings provide a long lasting protective
finish for decorative, industrial and performance components. With
remarkable adhesion to a variety of surfaces and resistance to most
solvents and cleaners, Micro Clear keeps items looking like new. It is
exceptional for sealing polished metals such as aluminum, stainless
steel, and brass and completely eliminates the need for maintenance and
re-polishing. In addition, Micro Clear is resistant to many types of
graffiti.
Recommended Uses:
Polished Metals
Powder Coated or Painted Surfaces
Wheels
Decorative Finishes
CerakoteTMHigh Temperature Coatings
CerakoteTM High Temperature Coatings are
designed to improve the performance of exhaust systems. These coatings
prevent corrosion, increase durability and provide thermal insulation.
CerakoteTM exhaust coatings are available in a variety of
colors and finishes ranging from semi-gloss Black Velvet to high gloss
Stoplight Red. A line of Satin Metallic finishes are also available.
All of these products can withstand temperatures in excess of 1200°F and
select coatings can withstand temperatures higher than 1600°F.
Recommended Uses:
Exhaust Systems
Engine Components
Thin Film High Temperature Applications
Corrosive Environments
Non-aqueous Environments
CerakoteTM Thermal Barriers
CerakoteTM
Thermal Barrier products significantly reduce heat transfer of
components that operate at elevated temperatures. These coatings are
used extensively in the automotive, commercial truck, heavy equipment
and performance racing industries. Thermal barrier products increase
performance, reduce maintenance cost and protect against corrosion . CerakoteTM Thermal Barrier products can alter heat transfer by up to 15% depending on the specific application.
Recommended Uses:
Piston Domes
Combustion Chambers
Valve Faces
Exhaust Systems and Components
MIcro Slick
Micro Slick's formulation prevents surface-to-surface contact, thus
reducing friction and wear between mating surfaces. The exceptional low
resistant to shear enables the Micro Slick coated surface to operate
with extremely low friction.
Recommended Uses:
Piston Skirts
Cylinder Walls
Crankshafts & Camshafts
Bearings and Gears
Valve Stems & Rocket Pivots
Turbine Coatings
Turbine Coat is a protective compressor coating that was designed to
extend the wear life of components for ground based gas turbine
engines. Reducing oxidation, erosion, corrosion, and metal fatigue, this
specialized formulation increases efficiency of airflow, chamber
compressibility, and reduces friction of the compressed air stream.
This
cutting edge technology is continually tested under extreme conditions,
both in the laboratory and in the field, with excellent results.
Turbine Coat has proven to be a cost effective coating with high-end
performance.
Recommended Uses:
Intake Venturi
Compressor Housings
Compressor Stators and Rotors
Turbine Buckets
Heat Dissipation Coatings
When applied to surfaces, Micro Dyne's heat dissipation coatings
transfer heat away from a substrate, resulting in improved efficiencies,
performance and longevity of the coated parts. This ceramic bonded,
thermal-conductive coating also helps to prevent corrosion and damage
related to chemical and solvent attack. The Micro Dyne Artic Black and
Transfer Black coating systems are used extensively in the
transportation and electronics industries to reduce residual heat from
components.
